Chrome Extension Permissions

The Chrome extension uses these permissions:

  • activeTab, to use the current page only when you choose to use it as learning context
  • https://api.egoistlearning.com/*, to connect to the Egoist Learning API

The extension requests only the permissions needed for its learning features.

Data Retention

Local extension data stays on your device until you delete it, reset browser or extension data, or uninstall the extension.

Waitlist data may be kept while the waitlist or product update list is active, unless you ask us to delete it.

API data may be kept as long as needed to provide the product, improve reliability, prevent abuse, protect the service, and meet legal duties.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
